Your first step is free

Start Here

Before you try to change yourself, learn to see what is already shaping you.

Most health advice begins with instructions: eat this, avoid that, exercise more, try harder.

Body Connection Nutrition begins somewhere else.

We begin by noticing the signals, assumptions, learned rules, and automatic interpretations that are already influencing your relationship with food and your body.

A gift, and a beginning

I want you to experience the value of this work before I ask you to invest in it.

So the first experience is free. It is my gift to you—and your opportunity to see what this kind of learning can uncover.

Begin the Body Connection progression

These experiences are designed to build on one another. The first helps you notice the space between a body signal and your response. The second takes one real food-related decision and helps you investigate what was shaping that response before it ever felt like a simple choice.

2

Why Am I Eating?

Learn to investigate the response.

Take one real food decision apart and study how biology, food attention, learned rules, habit, emotion, access, relationships, and environment interacted.

This two-step progression is the flagship Body Connection experience. The other tools, collections, courses, workshops, and individual care are optional next layers—not prerequisites.

Step 1 · Can You Hear Your Body?

Hunger. Fullness. Fatigue. Tension. Thirst. Comfort. Energy.

Your body is communicating all the time. But over a lifetime, those signals can become surrounded by rules, expectations, judgment, and ideas about what your body should need.

Can You Hear Your Body? is a short interactive experience that helps you explore the space between a body signal and what happens next.

You will look at three dimensions:

1

Signal

How clearly do I notice what my body is telling me?

2

Interpretation

How do I decide what that sensation means?

3

Permission

What happens once I recognize what I need?

There is no score to achieve and nothing you are supposed to fix. The purpose is to notice something that may usually happen automatically.

What comes next?

Noticing the signal raises a second question: what shapes what I do with it?

You may notice hunger and eat. You may notice hunger and delay. You may distrust it, override it, be unable to respond, or find that food has already captured your attention for reasons that are much larger than hunger alone.

That is where the next experience begins.

Step 2 · Why Am I Eating?

Why Am I Eating? takes the awareness from the first tool and goes substantially deeper.

Instead of treating eating—or not eating—as a single decision, you choose one real food-related moment and reconstruct the conditions that shaped it. The experience functions as a guided mini-course built around your own episode.

You will learn about and apply seven interacting systems:

Biology

Hunger, timing, depletion, stress, sleep, and what your body was signaling.

Food attention & reward

Wanting versus liking, learned salience, cues, and why food can become difficult to stop thinking about.

Restriction & learned rules

Physical and cognitive restriction, compensation, moralized food rules, and permission.

Habit & automaticity

How context, cues, practiced responses, and consequences form repeated sequences.

Emotion & regulation

The functions eating—or not eating—may serve: comfort, transition, stimulation, control, relief, connection, and more.

Environment & access

Availability, barriers, time, cost, convenience, cue exposure, and the choices your surroundings actually made possible.

Relationships & culture

Family practices, social expectations, belonging, body surveillance, scarcity history, and cultural meaning.

Then the experience brings those systems together in a personalized Food Decision Map, interprets important interactions among them, and walks you back through the episode chronologically.

The central reveal

You began with a final behavior. But that behavior had a history.

Body signals, learned frameworks, reward, habit, emotion, access, environment, and relationships may all have been shaping what happened before the moment you experienced as a simple choice.

Your work does not disappear when the experience ends.

Each completed Food Decision Moment can be saved in your browser. You can return to it, explore another moment with a fresh tool, and begin comparing experiences over time to see which conditions and interaction patterns recur.

Why the first experience is free—and the next one is not

The free tool is designed to let you experience what happens when something automatic becomes visible.

But awareness is only the beginning. Recognizing a framework is different from learning how to examine it, understand how it was built, see how it interacts with biology and environment, and decide what deserves to change.

The paid educational work is where I bring together nutrition science, behavioral science, adult learning theory, and professional practice to create the structure, depth, teaching, and repeated application that make deeper investigation possible.

Free gives you a meaningful beginning. Paid gives you the structure to continue.

The larger Body Connection process

1

Notice

Become aware of the signals, thoughts, rules, and patterns that usually operate automatically.

2

Examine

Ask where those frameworks came from, what evidence supports them, what function they serve, and whether they still fit your life.

3

Rebuild

Develop frameworks better aligned with evidence, your body, your values, and the life you are actually living.

When you want another layer

The flagship progression stands on its own. If it raises another question, the wider Body Connection path lets you choose how much additional structure or support you want.

Notice

Make a body signal, automatic interpretation, nutrition claim, or repeated choice visible.

Education, not therapy

Serious reflection is also serious learning.

Advanced education often asks us to examine the assumptions and frameworks through which we interpret the world. We identify them, investigate where they came from, compare them with evidence and experience, and revise them when they no longer hold.

That is the educational method behind this work. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, or treatment of a mental-health condition. It is structured learning designed to help you understand the ideas shaping your relationship with food, health, behavior, and your body.

Start with Step 1

First, learn to notice the signal.
